Flatworld Knowledge is back at it with a terrific new character named President Millard who is at his wits end running State U. Aside from raising money in an economic downturn, he has to keep students enrolled and make sure they graduate in order to maintain his level of federal funding. Add to this toxic mix the coffee he spilled on his suit and an angry mob of students protesting the price of textbooks – Occupy Style! Could a giant “Golden Ticket” called the Digital Seal License be the salve to his soothe all his academic ailments?

Take a peek below to find out. This is a project we are really proud of.  From the unique character creation to the wonderfully subtle sound design flourishes – it all came together seamlessly. I especially like the CNBC “student loan groan” chatter coming out of the TV at the beginning .

Enjoy!

We created a new series of five videos for the online college textbook provider Flatworld Knowledge. MIYO is a magical being that allows professors to personalize textbooks using Flatworld Knowledge’s proprietary web app. You can see the full scope of her super powers here. But in this series of videos we wanted to show a different side of MIYO; a more human, fallible and relatable side. She’s not perfect and just like the rest of us:

She hoards.  She spends too much time online.  She is a control freak.  She wants to find true love.

And finally she enjoys a nice quiet afternoon alone pruning her garden. But watch out, she’ll snip you with her shears if you get in her way.

These were fun to make. Enjoy!
