Our very good friends at Flatworld Knowledge commissioned us to help them concept and create a video for the White House sponsored Why Open Ed Matters contest and we were happy to oblige. Take a look and vote for our video here in the public category.

Flatworld Knowledge is back at it with a terrific new character named President Millard who is at his wits end running State U. Aside from raising money in an economic downturn, he has to keep students enrolled and make sure they graduate in order to maintain his level of federal funding. Add to this toxic mix the coffee he spilled on his suit and an angry mob of students protesting the price of textbooks – Occupy Style! Could a giant “Golden Ticket” called the Digital Seal License be the salve to his soothe all his academic ailments?

Take a peek below to find out. This is a project we are really proud of.  From the unique character creation to the wonderfully subtle sound design flourishes – it all came together seamlessly. I especially like the CNBC “student loan groan” chatter coming out of the TV at the beginning .

Enjoy!

Pearson contacted us after seeing some of our other work and asked us to create a Bluedeeno video for them. This time we used vector graphics instead of our usual hand drawn illustrations. They loved the final product and we do too. We like to do things a little different and used the “screenshot” style that is popular today but added a little twist by using depth and angles. The music and sound design really brought this alive. If you feel like nerding-out give a close watch and listen to fully enjoy this as a whole. There are a lot of nice details along the way.
